Help Getting Started

it can be overwhelming to know how and where to begin with selecting your dishes- the thing to remember is you can always add more later! the fun thing about r.wood studio ceramics is that every season something new is created, so you will never have a shortage of things to choose from. some people start with a color they like; others start with a few shapes and let the colors fall into place. either way works!

to help get you started we have a few suggestions:

• a place setting for 12 may sound like a lot, but we have found that this is a good starting point- a few more or a few less may be what you settle on. just remember, your friends and family are helping you get your collection going, so you might as well think big!
• dinners, latte cups, rice bowls, and some form of a salad plate are key pieces; that is why they are our bestsellers.
• and don't forget platters and serving bowls- someone once said, "you can never have too many platters!" our favorites are the large everything bowl, the antipasto platter, and the large scallop platter.
