FALL MOUNTAIN DRIVE

the good thing about athens is that within a 45 minute drive north
you can be in the small mountains. drive a little further past that and
you are in the proper appalachians, and it is beautiful. this fall we
went on a drive for the day, right as the leaves turned. the combo
of the winding roads and the fall color was dizzying- as some of these
images demonstrate. a gust of wind would blow the leaves down
tumbling them onto the windshield like a golden shower.
