what are your dishes made of?
red clay (terra cotta) hand-painted with up to as many as five coats of glazes.

are they durable?
extremely.

are your dishes food safe?
yes.

are your dishes oven safe?
yes.

are your dishes microwave safe?
we don't recommend it.

are your dishes dishwasher safe?
we don't recommend it.

how do i start picking out dishes?
pick a color or a shape you like. the rest will fall into place. you can email us with questions and we can help you start your collection!

do you offer a bridal registry?
we do and it is fun. you can set up your registry online.

who is r. wood?
rebecca wood started r. wood studio ten years ago. we now have twelve artists, some of whom have been at the studio for seven years, some for one month. read more in 'our history' in the 'about r.wood' section...

do you let visitors come to your studio in athens?
definitely. we have studio sales three times a year- spring, fall, & holiday- email us your address and we'll put you on our mailing list. and we are open normal business hours monday through friday if you want to come see how it is made and shop. look on our 'contact us' page for a map you can print out.
